Rooting Our Heritage: The North West School Greening Drive
This Heritage Month, Rambait Waste Management has partnered with the Department of Economic Development, Environment, Conservation and Tourism (DEDECT) to launch a transformative school greening initiative across the North West province.
Taking place on September 23rd and 24th, 2026,the campaign delivers indigenous trees directly to local school grounds to combat climate change, improve air quality, and create shaded, vibrant environments for young learners.
Beyond environmental care, the drive actively engages students in hands-on conservation, cultivating a culture of environmental stewardship and leaving a living, growing legacy for future generations.
Participating Schools Overview
Kgale Primary School
Kickstarting Day 1 of the greening drive, Kgale Primary learners will engage in hands-on tree planting to create cooler, shaded play areas and promote environmental care on their grounds.
Moremogolo Primary School
Rounding out the first day of action, Moremogolo Primary will plant native trees to improve campus air quality and inspire students to take active ownership of their local environment.
Matlhware Primary School
Launching our Heritage Day activities, Matlhware Primary will establish new green spaces that celebrate local natural heritage while giving learners a lasting, living resource for years to come.
Tumagole Primary School
Serving as the final stop for the campaign, Tumagole Primary will complete the two-day of planting indigenous saplings to foster sustainable conservation habits among its young leaders.
